- Remember they don&rsquo;t know you 
- Remember they're here to be educated 
- Remember they're here to be entertained

It's a social media platform after all.

If you want to reach them all, you need to:

- Use simple language for understanding 
- Use cleverness for memorability 
- Stop using fancy language 
- Stop using fluffy words 
- Keep it short &amp; sweet 
- Stick to the point

Bonus: Use psychology to hook them in too

Don&rsquo;t write: &ldquo;Tax laws are important for your business.&rdquo;

Write: &ldquo;Here's how to increase your income without earning more (by understanding these 3 tax laws)&rdquo;

CLEAR difference.

Your post is a roadmap to your idea.

Get the reader from point A&rarr;B quickly.

They&rsquo;ll reward you by consuming your content, daily.

I used to feel completely overwhelmed and anxious in my career. I’d followed the path that was supposed to lead to career fulfillment. I went to college, got a job utilizing my degree, and worked my way up.

I have struggled with this, always - "The product does not have to be perfect". We can do it 'phase-wise' - typical Agile way. Two perspectives to this: As an employee of a larger IT firm, convincing Business or key stakeholders that an MVP is not essential (from an IT perspective) is not going to work. Infact the typical ask continues to be - "I would need everything under the sun, yesterday". From a to-be entrepeneur perspective, to get your seed funding - an MVP is going to be an uphill task. It is the point where, Technology and Business matter less and the fine art of negotiations kick-in.

After the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and MAP (Minimum Awesome Product), I’ve recently discovered MUP exists too! 😉 Are there any other alternative abbreviations related to MVP that you’re aware of?

Strongly agree with this idea: Instead of aiming for a polished MVP, aim for a MUP — Minimal Unviable Product. It’s not about scaling or being perfect or crafting a product for years. It’s about showing there's a genuine need for what you’re building. A good reminder that perfection isn’t the goal from the start.

You may fail, but then you get up and try again. Developing real expertise takes time - there are no shortcuts to excellence.”- Kayla Edwards 
 
 What I’ve learned is winners are doers. They try and try again. They look at obstacles as just that, something to be conquered. They aren’t afraid to be looked at funny or stumble through a new process because they are a novice. 
 
 This is encouragement for business owners who are figuring it out….keep going! Ask for help! Stumble through and show up because of you don’t give up you will either win or figure out when you need to pivot, and still win. 😉🏆

Follow these 20 rules to thrive on LinkedIn. 

1. LinkedIn is a game, and everyone is playing.
↳ Choose your own goal.
↳ Example:&nbsp;followers, likes, sales. 

2. People are playing different games.
↳ There are people with 1k followers making more money than you, and people with 100k earning less. 

3. Consistency is important
↳ To be a serious player, you have to show up. Those “I’m back after a month o ff” posts, just tell me you’re not serious. 

4. Your network is your networth. 
↳ It’s cliche, but true. 
↳ Other than my cofounder, everyone from my team is from LinkedIn.

6. Different rules for different people. 
↳For some, carousels work, for some it’s text and photo. 
↳ Don’t do what people tell you to do, test your account and analyse.

7. Engagement matters, but not as much as you think. 
↳ People spend hours engaging on LinkedIn, and it does boost your profile. 
↳ But there is a limit. My reach is more with 20 comments, than it is with 200.

8. Content is 99% of the game. 
↳ People spend too much time worrying about the algorithm and shadowb*nning. 
↳ If you spent this time improving your content, you would be better off. 

9. People don’t really care about you. 
↳ Everyone is trying to further their own cause.
↳ Imposter syndrome is in your head. Get your thoughts out there. 

10. Get on calls. 
↳ Comments are okay, DM’s are good but alls are GOLDEN. 

11. Put some ‘personal’ in your personal brand. 
↳ Videos people. They won’t get as much reach, but people get to know you. 
↳ You are your brand, so show yourself. 

12. AI pictures suck. 
↳ You are not a perfect AI creation, use your real picture. 

13. AI comments suck.
↳ C’mon guys, just stop it. 

14. AI is not the answer. 
↳ You’re trying to create a personal brand here. 
↳ If you spent as much time learning copywriting as you did trying to hack the system with AI, you might actually create decent content. 

15. Getting hate sucks. 
↳ I thought hate messages wouldn't affect me, but they do, obviously.
 ↳ Try and be rational, if 99.9% of comments are positive, you’re fine. 

16. LinkedIn is a b*tch. 
↳ I have been banned twice, and I still don’t know why.&nbsp;Tread carefully. 

17. LinkedIn is a tool. 
↳ Over the last 6 months, I got addicted to LinkedIn, and then got over it. 
↳ Remember, this is a professional tool, set your purpose and fit LinkedIn into it. 

18. Delete the app. 
↳ You don’t need to be wired into LinkedIn 24/7. Set yourself boundaries. 

19. Set your damn goals. 
↳ 90% of you are posting with no goal in mind. 
↳ What are you trying to do? 
↳ Work this out first, and suddenly your content plan is much easier. 

20. Sort your profile out. 
↳ I had an ugly profile for so long. This will damage your brand.
↳Try to be excellent in everything you do.

Treat every line you write as a hook.

- Build rhythm through repetition. 
- Use fluency to be clear. 
- Play with words.

Create rhythm. Build memory. Hook consistently.

People don't have short attention spans. 
&#8627; They have short, boring content spans.
Next time you write, sing.

Pro tip: Read your copy out loud before posting.

1)) Listing how - even though your house was on fire 3 times this year, your laptop was stolen &amp; scammers cleaned your bank account so you had to work on your Nokia 3310 the whole year, while moonlighting as an Uber driver as the sole breadwinner in your chronically ill family of 13 kids, you managed to hit 7 figures in your solopreneur business, run a triathlon, while also holding a board seat in a Fortune 500 company, and adding 33 new properties to your rental apartment portfolio, but you’re gutted that your side hustle startup failed to invent a cure for brain cancer due to the shortage of VC funding - while I’m crying picking up crisps and my shredded self-esteem off the floor reading 10 variations of the same story every single day. Instead of finishing that one thing I just wanted to do before I learned that apparently, everyone on LinkedIn except me is a superhero. Why, oh why? Well we all know why. But it’s super-annoying. So just stop. 

2)) Dramatically declaring you’re going on a “LinkedIn sabbatical/detox/cleanse”, only to share 3 posts per day 2 days later. 

3)) Solopreneurs dunking on FT employees. FT employees dunking on solopreneurs. Employers dunking on everyone. Like the term of your contract is suddenly a status symbol, sweet mother of Jesus. 

4)) This one’s for the ladies: The endless onslaught of unrelated selfies. I only learned to spell “moisturiser” in my mid-thirties so I really, really can’t beat you to this game.

5)) How you use ChatGPT to do every little thing nobody’s interested in &amp; can do 3 x faster without it.

6)) Dramatically announcing how you’re going to be off for an entire eternity of 3.75 business days you’ve frivolously decided to afford yourself for the first time in 5 years. And how you’ll spend them on gobbling down lashings of pizza (accompanied by your size 0 selfie) with your numerous friends and family. But you will be checking your DMs if it’s *urgent*. And P.S. btw. you’re accepting clients for 2024 - and you have only 2 slots left for your 1:1 discovery call for $297 per hour, and they are filling fast, babe!

7)) Saying that SEO is dead. 

8)) Being rude and calling it “positioning”.

9)) Telling everyone you’ve earned my annual salary pre-tax on selling your ebook in 2 weeks, and then asking for free advice/contribution to your next one in DMs, or worse still - a $297 loan because “everybody knows it’s been a hard year”.&nbsp;Would be quite funny if it wasn’t true.

10)) Posting unbacked “stats” and ignoring everyone who’s calling you out in the comments. 

11)) The Beckham meme. I *am* being honest. It’s like two months old now and memes have the longevity of a sandwich.

Raise the bar for every single post you write.

Here's the three-step process I use daily:

1. Set the standard for your content.

Choose 2-5 creators that align with you.
Read and analyze their top-performing content. 
Use that as the standard of what "good" content is.

2.⁠ ⁠Practice writing every day. 

Pull out 10 pieces of content you like from others.
Pull out 1 main idea from each of those posts.
Study patterns, frameworks, and topics.
Emulate it in your own content.

 3.⁠ ⁠Review data and iterate

Look at likes to see if it resonated.
Look at reshares to see if it's interesting.
Look at comments to see if it was valuable.
Look at reach and see which topics are popular.
Look at leads generated "per post" -&gt; double down.

4. [Bonus] Use these frameworks:

For hooks: Always focus on 1 topic.

↳ The best [x] lesson you'll receive:
↳ Unpopular opinion:
↳ Harsh Truth:

For the body: 

a. Hook
b. Re-hook
c. Hint at the problem and solution
e. Show exactly how to fix the problem
f. Add a quick win or motivational quote
g. End with a clear solution for the reader

Too many people tell you the "solution"
But they never tell you the actual answer.

That's how you fix it, and how you can stand out.

Every single day you write, follow these 4 steps.

I started writing on LinkedIn mid-2022 with the sole purpose of trying and figure out how to build an audience to drive visibility for my business. Coming from a sales-led background with two previous startups that offered products to enterprises, I had no idea how to create inbound through marketing.

After a year and a half of sharing stories and lessons I've learned bootstrapping three companies every week on LinkedIn (2-5x per week), I can only attribute a negligible amount of direct revenue to my business. However, I've started to build a personal brand, been invited as a guest on podcasts, learned many strategies for free, supported others in need of a mental boost, forced myself to think about my business in new ways, made friends who are genuinely rooting for my success, and built a community of 40+ founders to exchange ideas with at our fingertips (one founder I'm even going to a festival with today!).

At the beginning of this year, I questioned how I could possibly differentiate myself amongst the sea of creators and entrepreneurs who also contribute here; founders and executives who are much more experienced and successful than myself. I thought that the best thing I could do was to be my truest self: the most normal, average, and relatable founder next door. Since then, I've only shared stories, lessons learned, and opinionated POVs from my personal experience.

These stories have gotten 7m impressions with 14 posts going viral (over 100k impressions). Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my posts, you can't imagine how encouraging it has been. I look forward to sharing more in 2024 as we aim to take eWebinar to $2m ARR and beyond by December next year.

Everyone is getting a normal full salary from December, and our team fully pays for these days off.

Here are 5 successes and 5 f*cks ups from this year:

✅ Build a brand - it pays off.

✅ Throwing a +300 people's birthday party

✅ 0% customer churn

✅ Giving our team members much responsibility --&gt; It's not easy for them, but they are growing so fast.

✅ Growing our MRR to + 30 000€

❌ Too many development projects at the same time and no focus

❌ Not enough time and focus on sales

❌ Not understanding when my team members needed help and solving the problems for them

❌ Not succeeding in onboarding new people to TalentBee's ways of working in the way I should have

 Personal brand ≠ Popularity
 
 It's not about how many people know you, it's about how many trust you. Take selling trading courses, for example. People buy from those they trust, those with a track record of delivering real results.
 
 While some gurus may be famous on platforms like YouTube and Instagram. Fame doesn't necessarily equate to a personal brand. Many rely just on ads and flashy content to attract an audience or customers, but who's buying from them? Often, it's the unaware and uninformed.
 
 If you aim to close high ticket customers & grow your business, focus on building a genuine personal brand. Provide real value, showcase your expertise, and share authentic success stories, have a proof of work. It's not about posting massively with unrealistic hooks, it's about delivering consistent, genuine value that establishes trust.

Today I'm turning 25.

And no...
I'm not gonna tell you 25 lessons I've learned.

(I don't think I can recall that many)

But, I want today, for my birthday...
To gift YOU something instead.

A story. 

That I hope it will inspire and empower you to achieve your personal best.

To push boundaries.
To chase your goals.
To build your dreams.

Most of you know I'm young. 
Most of us here are young.

That in most aspects is an asset.

But you see...
Not necessarily in business.

Or at least, it didn't use to be.

I came across many times when age biases were a BIG reason to doubt experience. 

To get a hard 'NO'.
Or a doubtful look.

I was disappointed. 

I remember I started doubting myself.

Comparing myself with people with 10+ years of experience. 

I almost gave up on my dreams.

And on the idea that people would trust me, despite being so young. 

I was 21 at that time. 

But, the thing is...

There's always gonna be people with more experience out there. 

That's simply because they are older. 
Or they started way before you did.

And that's ok.

Does this mean, you aren't good enough?

Absolutely not!

So, I wrap my gift for you today in these words:

Believe in yourself. 
Show up with the best you've got...
So others can see it too. 

And most importantly...

Don't compare someone's finish line
With your first marathon's minutes.

Hot take this Labor Day: American Millennials (my generation) are far too obsessed with the concept of a 'work-life balance'... and Boomers and Gen-Xers aren't much better with their obsession of reaching retirement.
 
 In both cases—work is viewed as a BAD THING. Something to be avoided. 
 
 Shelby and I are currently DIYing our first baby's bedroom. He's due in less than 2 months. She and I have maintained a breakneck travel schedule the past year between trade shows and setting up distribution. I just got back from international business travel Thursday—I have 4 more trips in the next 4 weeks—and now I'm painting... and having fun doing it. 
 
 My whole life I've worked hard. By my senior year I was the fastest high school swimmer in the state of Texas. I studied and swam at Princeton. And if that wasn't enough, I started Cheers in my dorm room. 
 
 People always ask: "Where do you find the motivation?" Or: "How do you find the energy to work so hard?" The answer lies in how I view work... I fundamentally view work as a GOOD THING. 
 
 It's not something to be avoided. There is joy in work for its own merit—even if you're not getting paid much—though... that's a nice plus if you can make a good wage doing it! 
 
 I'm a Christian, and in Genesis, the Lord calls humankind to essentially 1) procreate and 2) subdue the Earth—and together that is part of their worship and service to God. The idea is pretty simple... humankind are inherently workers meant to make things better than they found it.
 
 Why I don't like the idea of a 'work-life balance' is that it pretty much only ever strikes one direction. Someone who works a lot has a 'bad' balance and someone who works less has a 'good' balance. Have you ever heard someone say: "I have a bad work-life balance... I work far too little!"? 🤣
 
 I believe working less is the wrong ideal.
 
 I'm not saying all work is fun. Layoffs aren't fun. Shit hitting the fan is not fun. Having to stay up all night fixing someone else's problem isn't fun. 
 
 But what I am saying is that if you can find a way to see work as a blessing in and of itself, you'll really find a lot of joy in your life. All the entrepreneurs I meet with love working. They love the challenge. They love helping people—customers, employees, vendors, etc. 
 
 In the past month I have met two different groups: 1) Shark Tank alumni, and 2) some of the most successful sellers on Amazon. In both groups many of the people there had already made multiple lifetimes worth of money—they had no need to work. So why were they working? Why weren't they retiring? 
 
 Hint... it's not because they want a private plane or yacht... or some other vain thing. It's because they find joy in the work they do. 
 
 This Labor Day try to find joy in work. That may mean a career switch. But it also may just mean taking a different view of the work you do. Even if you work for a greedy corporation you can find ways to make the lives of your co-workers or customers better. And that gives joy!

 In a recent debate with a dear friend from a large corporation, I argued that these Gens are adamant about their priorities
 
 They will not go after larger monetary compensation at the account of their preferences
 
 This isn't speculation. Numerous studies and surveys support this shift in priorities:
 
 1. Research from Deloitte titled “2023 Gen Z and Millennial Survey” says 77% of Gen Zs and 75% of millennials who are currently in remote or hybrid roles would consider looking for a new job if their employer asked them to work on-site full-time
 
 2. The same report shows that the majority of Millennials would give away high pay for improved work-life balance. They look for positions with a purpose and a company that aligns with their values but not necessarily high-paying positions
 
 3. When asked about the factors that most influenced the decision to accept a job offer, 65% voted for personal development vs 21% for salary (source: PWC report Millennials at work reshaping the workplace)
 
 The above is not just a trend! 
 
 These are facts that are redefining the workplace in fundamental ways
 
 Companies need to adapt to these changes in the newest workforce generations to report tangible benefits
 
 These include enhanced employee satisfaction, lower turnover, and greater innovation which are essential to survival in the current market dynamics

It's like kneading dough; it's a tough process, but it's necessary to get that perfect, fluffy bread. So, if you're currently kneading through a difficult phase, keep this in mind: You're not being broken down; you're being built up.
 
 So, my friends, let's embrace the hard times with the knowledge that they're paving the way for the good times to come. Remember, a diamond is just a piece of coal that handled pressure exceptionally well. You're much tougher than you think. Brand building vs ads in B2B marketing?

Both! Here's why... 👇

In B2B, brand building is often seen as:
1. Slow → not worth the wait
2. Unnecessary → doesn't show results

I will proof you wrong.

Many (probably you included) opt for quick-fix targeted ads. But remember: you're only as good as your last ad.

Stop paying → the party's over.

Building a brand? Tough and time-consuming.

But once built, it stays. No ad can match the trust and loyalty a strong brand brings.

Here's the twist:

Combine, don't choose.

Paid ads + loyal customers → an unbeatable combination

Proportion? Try 60/40, then opt for more brand marketing.

Unable to measure ROAS? Try checking your sales after you have an established brand.

People buy from brands they trust.

It's time for a pivot. Think 'and', not 'or'.

Adopt this strategy and share your results.

I will start. ✨

My passion always lied in creative work. I liked to draw since a very early age. 

I thought I'd be a fashion designer, I was only drawing women and their fearless combinations. 😀

But, in my city, we didn't have Applied arts University and I went to study in Italy.

(partially because of their food too 🍕)

But, when I came to Austria, it was very different. 

They were organised, speaking german and (seemed in the beginning) not very artistic.

(I learned that wasn't true, I was too young to see)

But... There were plenty of jobs. I could try out things and decide what I 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 want. 

For a long time I didn't know what I wanted. I became an art director, but I still wasn't sure if was on the right path.

Something was definitely missing, because I liked doing creative things, but I knew there was more to design. 

I knew I liked strategy too: strategic thinking, thinking how we're being perceived, psychological part of it.

(yes, I've read tons of book about psychology)

But I thought I can't do it, I didn't study marketing. Who would ask an art director about strategy?

I started learning about marketing like crazy. I worked in a marketing department after all.

Then I&nbsp;discovered brand marketing. 

That was it: strategy + design! 

That was literally me! ✨

I connected the two dots: the art of asking right questions and visual creative work. 

The art of telling stories.

I love talking to CEOs about their visions for the future and the purpose behind their businesses.

I really love that spark in their eyes when they talk how they started their business. I have the same spark when talking about mine.

And you know what? They love it too. 

They feel the genuine approach. They know I am there to help them to get where they wanna be.

But what I wanted to say, if you feel something is missing, explore it. 

Ask yourself these difficult questions.

You have the answers, I can guarantee you.

Branding fails scale-ups face

(and how you can avoid them)

Step 5 is when I was hired. Twice.👇

1. They ignore branding in the early stages
2. Nobody recognises them
3. They rebrand internally with juniors
4. They don't like it - they try an agency
5. Doesn't work - they try internally AGAIN
6. Gets complicated and too long
7. They quit 🪦
8. They get frustrated and start again. ♻️

This is fine if you have unlimited resources and time to experiment.

But if you're low on budget (or don't wanna lose your nerves around it many times) consider this:

1. Invest in branding from day 1
↳a.k.a. build a brand strategy

2. Keep in mind who you're selling to
↳don't forget - this is about them

3. Your brand persona and ICP should fit together
↳imagine 2 people going on a date

4. Pitch your business to yourself in 20 seconds
↳if you can't - something is wrong

5. Do you see your brand the same as your customers do?
↳is there a gap?

I earned more than 100,000 EUR.

My journey started in 2016.

→ Didn't take breaks.
→ Played the hustle game.
→ Didn't listen to my body.
→ Measured my worth in money.
→ I tried to achieve too much too fast.

I snapped in mid-2019.

Burnout.

Got back to corporate life in 2020.

Now I quit my job. 
Going all in again. 
I will be unemployed on January 1st.

This time, I will:

→ Plan breaks.
→ Focus on one big thing.
→ Spend time with my family.
→ Listen and take care of my body.
→ Play it slower and accept things take time.

Life is more than money and work.
